New Forterra/IBM video of Collaboration - Sametime Integration
Check out this slick new video from IBM/Forterra showing off the integration of IBM Lotus Sametime (a unified communications platform) with the Forterra OLIVE enterprise virtual world platform. The scenario is instant collaboration which starts out with Instant Messaging then the participants agree to meet in-world to see a 3d model, discuss and look at design documents, then call in another expert to join them in-world to quickly solve their problem.
This is the type of interoperability critical to enterprise virtual world applications - integrating with existing systems.
