ABOUT US

Ambient Performance has been formed as the 'go to' organisation for ambient services on the Mobile Web for the professional market in the UK and Europe. Its founders are former corporate new technology executives and innovative intra/entrepreneurs with broad experience in the development and deployment of internet-based services into the professional marketplace. They have founded Ambient Performance to assist organisations 'to be where the eyeballs are'.

Ron Edwards
is the Managing Director of Ambient Performance, a consultancy helping organizations innovate in learning strategy, design and delivery, specializing in the application of technology to reach more people, more often, closer to their moments of need. His "be where the eyeballs are tm" approach to mobile learning and mobile gaming are enabling organizations to bring fun and anywhere, anytime engagement to performance development.

Ron’s previous employment was with Unilever for 13 years, most recently as the Head of eLearning where he successfully led their global efforts to transform how technology supports learning and performance.

Ron is recognized as a thought leader and pioneer in learning, and has contributed to several industry publications including Learning on Demand’s Mobile Learning Revisited Bulletin for SRI-BC, Human Resource Executive, Chief Learning Officer Magazine, Training & Development Magazine (ASTD), Learning Decisions and two HRD Press books - Blended Learning & The eLearning Field Book. He has served as a conference committee member, designer, chairperson, speaker and/or panelist at several industry conferences and international network membership meetings including Interclass and Elliott Masie’s eLearning Consortium.

Dick Davies
has led the way in innovation in technology supported learning in both corporate and academic organisations for over 20 years. In his academic career he was responsible for founding the first UK government funded centre for online learning and for providing the networked services for the first online MBA programme in Europe.

On moving to the corporate world he worked in internet corporate venturing. As the former Head of Integrated Learning for Cable & Wireless he latterly had global responsibility for e-Learning including the implementation of global online MBA and MSc programmes.

Founding the Online Courseware Factory in 1999 with other leading online learning experts he was responsible for a range of large government and corporate projects. Dick is the Editor of SeriousGamesEurope.com and is actively working on projects in serious mobile gaming as Executive Producer at Ambient Performance.
